Miss GEICO

Miss GEICO is an offshore racing powercat, owned and operated by AMF Offsore Racing and sponsored by well-known insurance giant GEICO.  Miss GEICO is among the elite group of the world’s fastest offshore powerboats in the world.  This powercat’s twin Lycoming T-55 and T-53 turbine engines allow it to achieve speeds in excess of 200 mph.

Piloted by Marc Granet and Scott Begovich, Miss GEICO is the winner of four World Championships from 2006-2009.  To see this powercat in action, view this YouTube video:

Schionning Marine is an Australian design studio and marine supply company that has been serving the power catamaran industry for more than 20 years.  The company is represented by agents in the US, UK, South Africa and New Zealand.  Schionning offers several different ranges of power catamaran designs.  The Aquaplay Powercat range is designed for long distance live-aboard cruising at speeds up to 12 knots.  For more speed, the Prowler Powercat range offers features a semi-displacement hull shape provides fuel-efficient speeds of up to 20 knots.

AeroCat Sport Fisher & Explorer Series

AeroCat’s Sport Fisher is available in 26’ to 32’ models.  The Erie, Pennsylvania manufacturer custom builds these fishing and family boats, providing personalized options and accessories.  The Sport Fisher is easy to tow by trailer and easy to launch and the twin hulls provide a smooth ride in even the roughest waters.  The Sport Fisher starts at $85,500.

AeroCat is also offering an Explorer Series that represents a new take on powercat design.  AeroCat has focused on innovation in the hull design, building materials and on-board system.  AeroCat claims that the Explorer series is “superior to any other of its size and type.”  The vessel is 36’ in length and is priced at $275,000.
